Role Description

Job Title: FM Estimator 

Location: Hybrid. 

Job Type: Full-Time / PAYE.

Salary: £55,000 - £60,000 + package.

Industry: Facilities, Maintenance, Commercial.

At 99 Talent, we have partnered with a leading provider in the facilities management industry. We are recruiting a FM Estimator to join the team and play a key role in the estimation, bids, and tenders for a range of clients and facilities.

Job Description:

As a FM Estimator, you will be responsible for estimating and pricing maintenance contracts (NEC / JCT). You will work closely with project teams, contractors, and clients to ensure that projects are tendered to the highest standards. Your role will involve commercial management, writing bids, and ensuring the best price before proposal handover to the client. FM experience is desired. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Working closely with the Contract Managers and Account Directors. 

• Drive and lead the estimation of new work across the business.

• Develop and execute upcoming and existing bids.

• Work with the project management team to ensure all projects are priced and tendered to a good standard. 

• Support with M&E bids and tenders.

• Liaise with clients to provide progress updates and resolve any concerns.

• Support and mentor junior estimators.

• Document and track results, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and client specifications.

Key Requirements:

• Proven experience in estimating mechanical, electrical maintenance, or projects  (minimum of 3 years).

• Strong understanding of Facilities Management and live environments. 

• Experience with MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) 

• Knowledge of HVAC, power distribution, backup power systems, and fire safety systems.

• Ability to read and interpret technical terminology. 

• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

• Excellent communication and client-facing skills.

• Relevant qualifications (Mechanical or Electrical degree) preferred.

• Experience in large scale maintenance or projects bids is a plus.
